What is Cursillo?
- Cursillo is a Roman Catholic lay movement that aims to deepen participants’ spiritual lives and encourage them to be more involved in their Christian faith.
- Cursillo is an opportunity to retreat from the chaos of daily life to spend time with God and fellow Christians on a three-day Weekend.
- Cursillo provides tools and strategies to enhance your:
- Piety – Deepening your relationship with God.
- Study – Understanding your faith, and God’s plan for your life.
- Action – Outwardly living your faith in a real and effective way.
- Cursillo will help you appreciate the impact of God’s freely given Grace in your life, and the role of the Sacraments as channels of that Grace.
- Clergy are an integral part of each Weekend (normally a Priest and one or two Deacons).
The Diocese of Lexington Cursillo Secretariat is pleased to announce that we are hosting two Cursillo Weekends in 2026, as follows:
- Women’s #62: August 27 – 30, 2026
- Men’s #60: November 5 – 8, 2026
